Like an ant: Moving 100 times the weight and volume of a bike

Bookmark and Share

While I was on an alley in Shenzhen, China I’ve seen something that looked impossible: a man carrying so many boxes on the back of his bike that were all stacked up and almost as high as a truck. This alley was near a street full of seafood restaurants, so I’m sure he was carrying seafood in his polystyrene foam boxes. I know for one fact that that’s what they keep seafood in with ice over here, because it provides good isolation.

I am sure he also had another set of wheels under the boxes extending from the bike and was using the bike to steer them down the road, but still.

It maybe does not look so fantastic in the photo, but believe me if you were there you could see it was the size of a small truck or big van...
